The Peace Bridge was opened in June 2010, in one fell sweep connecting the East and West banks of the River Foyle for pedstrians and cyclists. A design masterpiece, the brisge has quickly become an icon of hope fro the new Derry-Londonderry. The Brisge was inspired by the Hands Across the Divide Sculpture designed by Derry teacher Maurice Harron at the end of the Craigavon Bridge. The Peace Bridge joins the fabric of the City together, in the same way a brooch traditionally connected and joined two pieces of cloth as one. Handcrafted and individually designed in the Thomas Jewellery Workshop. All pieces are available in silver with the option of a Sandbast or brightcut finish. Also available in gold upon request.
